multi part project
(on Winslow homer):
VIDEO #2
Homer learned to be a good artist by copying the work of other artists. Select one image you want to try and copy. Send me a picture of your drawing. You do not have to color it. Next, I am going to do a watercolor painting with you.
VIDEO #3
This is a step by step wilderness watercolor inspired by Winslow Homer. You will need heavy white drawing paper or watercolor paper (9 x 12) if you have it / Watercolor set with a lid to mix colors / jar of clean water / paintbrush, pencil /and black felt pen.
VIDEO #4
After you know how to create some watercolor paintings, this is a great collage technique where you combine watercolor painting with tearing paper strips and making a folded paper sailboat. Together they look like a Homer painting on a rough sea.

Lines are the most important element of art. If you put lines together you get shapes. While watching the video, pause it and practice drawing the shapes. When the video is finished, put as many shapes as possible into a robot design. Name your robot, tell me what it does, and send me a photo of it.
