SACS Advantage

For 75 years, St. Anne Catholic School has maintained a proud legacy of excellence in faith-based education to students from preschool through middle school from throughout Northeast TN and Southwest VA.  We provide a compelling combination of small classes, caring faculty, academic rigor, and strong faith values.

What sets SACS apart from other schools?

Faith

Our school is for all faiths. About 60% of our students and faculty are of denominations other than the Catholic faith.

Faith is at the core of our school. Our students pray, initiate and complete service projects, and learn religion. Our teachers help make sure our students grow spiritually and develop strong moral standards.

Faculty

All of our teachers are certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia, which means they have degrees in education specific for their content area.  Teachers  attend several professional development programs each year and are required by the Diocese of Richmond to maintain teaching licensure.

Accreditation

SACS is the only private school in Bristol with this accreditation.

St. Anne completes a rigorous process every 5 years and is proud  to receive accreditation from the global accrediting agency Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.  Their reputation is respected and proven for setting quality assurance standards.

Diocese

St. Anne is unique to other private schools; we are part of St. Anne Catholic Church and an entire system of schools: The Diocese of Richmond. The Diocese serves over 20 schools and has its own education system, including curriculum experts and a superintendent.

Our Consensus Curriculum ensures our students receive a challenging and balanced education to prepare them for high school and beyond.

Excellence

Each year, our students' test scores across all grades place us in the top 15% of the nation.

As a private school, we are fortunate that our test scores do not determine our funding. Therefore, our teachers do not have to "teach to the test."

National normed tests do provide insight to help us set individual goals for students

High School

High school teachers consistently tell us they can spot an SACS student by their intelligence and work ethic.

In the most recent five  years, our alumni have been high school valedictorians and salutatorians, and TN/VA Scholars. They have been selected as the "Best All Around Student," MVP"

"Sportsmanship" awards and were voted "Most Likely to Succeed."

College

St. Anne Catholic School students have been awarded scholarships to West Point, UTK, Virginia Tech, The Citadel, BYU, Vanderbilt, Clemson, South Carolina, the Air Force Academy, and more.

In just the past five years, our alumni have earned well over two million dollars in college scholarship money.

Confidence

Our alumni leave St. Anne curious, confident, and prepared. The St. Anne students are the ones in high school raising their hands to ask questions, researching on their own, and leading the group project. Just as important, they are the ones holding open doors for others, respecting themselves, and guiding others to make the right decisions.
